  • While there are humorous aspects to this seed, there are things popping up daily that cause concern. Current polling indicates sizable followings for Palin and now Giuliani. To many on this blog that is probably additional humor.

  • This is an annual event to bring focus to the contributions of veterans and responsiblity to take care of them. Where has Sarah been all of the prior years? Why is she here now? Is this a real cause for her or an opportunity? Short of waving the flag, this does not appear to be a sincere effort.

  • That is one way of looking at it I guess. I have made sport over the last 2 years with the GOP's list of possible saviors. Squaring Walsh's comments with that list is amusing. First, the current GOP roster of presidential aspirants is weak even in their on judgment.

  • To understand their appeal, look at the dominant characteristic of the pundit class, i.e. middle aged white males. Two stories come to mind when I consider this subject.

  • It would follow that Rush is a Palin fan. Two people that kick up a lot of dust while saying so very little of substance. Palin has always maintained that she has the ability to measure the potential to survey the rest of the field and decide if her special talents are need to save the country.

  • There are problems with your logic. First, unions don't run companies, management elected by the stockholders do. That management had to agree to union contracts and sign them. This is similar to the the union issues being fought and debated at the state level.

  • Normally, I don't like name calling, but Cantor just brings out the worst in me. I hope that in crises like this people see clearly who they are sending to Congress and then putting them in leadership. People are still being recovered from the rubble and this is what is on his mind?.
